The Sport Sales Combine is designed for entry level to advancing sport industry ticket sales representatives looking to develop and refine sales and management skills. Combine trainees are engaged in an authentic sales training environment working with seasoned professional sales team leaders as well as hiring sales managers representing the following sport properties:

Combine trainees receive:
- personalized ticket sales coaching from leading sport management educators, sales force managers, directors and trainers.
- real-life, hands-on experience dealing with event patrons and selling specifically designed host team ticket plans.
- interactive networking opportunities and opportunity to showcase personal selling skills to sport ticket sales scouts and hiring managers.
- Audition in front of and interview with hiring sales managers from the attending sport franchises (see list above).
- Role play video tape posting on YouTube (see http://www.youtube.com/user/SportSalesCombine). Great for sharing with prospective employers.

Orlando Magic Sales Training Program
The Combine is coordinated by Drs. Bill Sutton and Richard Irwin, nationally recognized sport marketing, promotion, and sales professors and consultants. As Vice President, Team Marketing and Business Operations for the National Basketball Association, Dr. Sutton was instrumental in crafting the NBA’s sales strategy, adopted more recently by many other sport businesses. As founder of the University of Memphis Sport Sales Training Program, Dr. Irwin crafted the Pentagon of Sport Sales Instructional Model, used by Combine participants.

The Sports Sales Combine was a terrific experience where I had the opportunity to learn from top industry professors as well as from a professional sports organization in the Atlanta Spirit, parent company of the Atlanta Hawks (NBA) and Thrashers (NHL).
